Everything we sell is simple to look after. This page also covers how to use it safely.
Safety
Warning: clips, bows and pins contain small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Keep out of reach of young children.
Our hair accessories are made for adults and older children to wear in the hair. They are not toys.
- Check clips and pins before wearing them. If a spring, tooth, clasp or pin is loose or broken, stop using the piece and contact us.
- Do not sleep in claw clips or wear them while lying on your back, and take them off before helmets, car headrests you lean against for a long time, or sports where you might fall.
- Keep acetate away from open flames and high heat, such as hair dryers held close, straighteners and hot car dashboards.
Acetate claws, barrettes and the catch tray
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Hairspray, perfume and alcohol can dull the shine; let them dry before clipping in.
- Acetate is strong but not unbreakable. Do not open a claw wider than it opens on its own, and don’t step on it.
- The mica flakes sit inside the material; they do not rub off.
Bows, ribbons and scrunchies
- Hand wash cold with mild soap, do not wring, and dry flat.
- Smooth satin bows with a cool iron through a cloth if they crease. Do not iron velvet or organza.
- Do not soak bows on clips; the metal clip should stay dry.
Pins
- Keep dry and store in a box or tray so they keep their shape.
Acrylic stands and boxes
- Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use alcohol, glass cleaner or solvents, which can cloud acrylic.
